Loay Koulo
Louay Koulo is an experienced instructor at the Arab International University (AIU) in Syria. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a major in Informatics from Damascus University and a Master’s degree in Risk Management from Poitiers University in France.
In his role at AIU, Mr. Koulo teaches various subjects, including Remedial Math for Business, Statistics, Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), Math for Business, MIS (Management Information System – lab), Project Management, Quality Management, Operation Management, and Decision Making. He has also been involved in the MATRE project, specifically in the Data Analyze work package.
Apart from his academic engagements, Mr. Koulo gained valuable practical experience during his five years as an assistant project manager (APM) at the Austrian company “Emirates Environmental Technology” (EET) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). His work there involved overseeing labor, providing regular progress reports to the General Manager, managing the maintenance team and store, handling financial reports, attending meetings, and coordinating with consultants and subcontractors.
In addition to his teaching and project management background, Mr. Koulo has conducted numerous workshops and training sessions. He delivered workshops on Elementary Statistics and Analysis using SPSS at the Syrian Investment Agency (SIA) and the University of Kalamoon (UoK). He also conducted training sessions on Data Analysis at UNHCR Syria headquarters, covering tools and techniques, practical workshops with SPSS, and exercises.
Mr. Koulo’s expertise extends to various software tools, including MS Project, MS Office, and SPSS. Additionally, he holds a certificate in training of trainers (TOT), reflecting his commitment to professional development and effective teaching methodologies.
Throughout his career, Mr. Koulo has demonstrated his passion for education, project management, and statistical analysis. His experience and skills make him a valuable asset in both academic and practical settings.
